A rock climber has died after plummeting more than 300 metres down Mount Barney, south-west of Brisbane, this afternoon.
Authorities were called to the area this afternoon after the 50-year-old man fell from the side of a cliff.
The Bethania man had been abseiling with another man and woman when he fell. The man and woman were not injured.
Authorities will begin efforts to recover the man's body in the morning.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
