Family shares its love affair with a leafy northern beaches suburb.

GEOFF Davis grew up in Elanora Heights and loves it so much he has just bought his third home in the suburb.

“I used to ride my pushbike to the shops, went to the local primary school, always had someone to play with and want that community spirit for my own daughters,” he said.

Mr Davis is only 33 but he bought and sold a home in Maralinga Ave, built a home at 12 Wakooka Ave and has now bought a home less than 1km away.

The revamped local shops mean he and his wife Natalie rarely need to leave the suburb as there is a supermarket, a chemist, bars and cafes all close by.

The owner-builder created this house from a much larger corner block and they have lived in it for two years.

Natalie Davis brought her creative skills to the build, doing all the interior design. The couple are very proud of the level of finish they achieved in the house and how modern the house is.

The two-storey house has an inverted floorplan to take advantage of the elevated position.

So the kitchen, living and dining areas are upstairs and have views to Narrabeen Lagoon.

The marble kitchen is particularly impressive, with stainless steel Ilve appliances, a gas, six-burner cooktop, soft-close drawers, built-in wine fridge and ultra-modern black tapware.

The east-facing entertaining deck off the living areas has a leafy outlook towards the lagoon. There is a fourth bedroom or home office on the upper floor.

Downstairs is the master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe and its own covered deck. Two more bedrooms with built-ins and a main bathroom are on this floor.

Outside there are decks, paved areas and tiered lawns. The double garage has internal access to the house.

This cul-de-sac home on 595sqm of land would suit an older family.

The Davis family have discovered a level yard and the chance of a swimming pool would best suit their young daughters.

But they still love this edgy house in a quiet street with no through traffic.

The property goes to auction on March 10, with a price guide of $1.9 million. For more information contact D & S Hunter Estate Agents: Duane Hunter, on 0415 708 992.
