Four Australia universities have ranked in the top 100 in the world

Four Australian universities have made it into the top 100 ranked universities in the world.

Leading the way is the University of Melbourne at number 57, followed by the University of Sydney, the University of Queensland and the Australian National University.

Harvard University, Stanford University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology took out the top three positions on the list.

The list, compiled by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), grades universities on seven factors without relying on surveys and university data submissions: quality of teaching, alumni employment, quality of faculty, research output, quality publications, influence, and citations.
