Federal Energy Minister Angus Taylor is set to unveil Australia's first off-grid, solar powered classroom in Brisbane.
Developed by Australian start-up Hivve as part of a trial involving three classrooms, the system also uses battery storage to climate-control the room and feed excess power into the school's network.
"This project highlights the benefits of combining renewable energy and storage to ensure energy is available when it is needed, not just when the sun shines," Mr Taylor said on Thursday.
