COLES and Woolworths have removed packets of sliced mushrooms from Tasmanian shelves amid safety fears.
Mushroom Exchange, a Costa group company, has issued the recall due to the potential presence of large pieces of white plastic in punnets stamped with best before dates or use by dates of up to and including July 19, 2018.
The recall affects products 200g, 375g and 500g packs sold in Tasmania.
The mushrooms are sold under the Woolworths and Coles brands.
Customers should return the packs to the store of purchase for a refund.
