Housing policy a 'failure'

A REVIEW into housing affordability in Australia claims government incentive schemes to get more people to move to the country weren’t having the desired effect.

The Grattan Institute report released this week called attempts by state and federal governments to lure city workers to the country mostly an “expensive policy failure”.

Some people have called for a greater regional push to help alleviate housing affordability issues in major cities.
